Best New Finds in Chattanooga

These are not really new things in Chattanooga but new adventures for our family. We once again traveled to Chattanooga TN for a family spring break. At first the kids were bummed about not going to Florida. With a family of 8 flying is not an option. Well I should say financially not an option. Then the extra seven hours in a car to drive to Florida isn not an option for sanity options. So Chattanooga has become our go to place. We really do love it there.

We have always stayed in a hotel downtown for the convenience of being able to walk to just about every where we wanted to go. This trip my husband had a much better idea and we rented a house outside of town. I have to say hands down this was the best trip to Chattanooga yet. After spending time doing things out all day it was so nice to come back to the peaceful setting of the house. The kids were much more relaxed, everyone did not have to go to bed at the same time and we just had time to unwind and get ready for the next day.

We knew that the weather was not promising for the week so we planned outdoor things accordingly. Just a mile from the house was Big Soddy Creek. Absolutely beautiful hiking trails. These trails are not paved and are rough but truly a great experience. The kids loved climbing rocks and jumping in the water. You are surrounded by beautiful scenery, a flowing river and water falls. Just one of the many hiking trails around. We will be doing this again.

These are just a few of the things that make Chattanooga one of the best places to visit! We will continue to make family memories here.I hope you get a chance to visit too! If anyone has any other suggestions or stories to share about Chattanooga I would love to hear them.
