Why You Need To Vacation in Chattanooga

The very first time we visited Chattanooga ,Tennessee we fell in love. Since then we have made many trips and enjoy it every time. Chattanooga is filled with southern hospitality that you only hear about in other places; yet is filled with culture that everyone will enjoy, Every time we visit we find something new and fun to do.

The first time we visited we had all the kids with us for Spring Break. The weather was perfect, not too hot or cold. Since we weren’t too familiar with the area yet we had planned things we found online. We visited Rock City, Ruby Falls and did the zipline and obstacle course. Rock City had spectacular mountain views, a swinging bridge and lovers leap. Ruby Falls underground waterfalls was also a site to see. The zipline is located at Ruby Falls and was a fun afternoon with the kids. These activities, if you have never done, I would recommend to see. But there is so much more to Chattanooga than the things that cost money. The best thing is we have had the most fun just going and hanging out and not spending a lot of money.

Chattanooga has a lot of great festivals. In July of every year they have the Riverbend Festival. You can buy a week wristband for $42 ( kids 10 and younger are free ) and get in everyday. There is music, food ,and activities for everyone. This year they have great headliner bands like Toby Keith, Old Dominion, Brett Young and so many more. Its located on the Tennessee River at Ross’s Landing.

There is a walking bridge in Chattanooga that crosses the Tennessee River that is really nice. Some of the best evenings have been walking the bridge and watching the river activities that are always going on. Once you cross the bridge there are small restaurants to enjoy. We like to go to Clumpy’s Ice Cream shop and go relax in Coolidge Park. There is a really nice splash pad here for the kids to cool off in.

There is hiking, golf, nature, history, aquariums and a great children’s zoo. I will be sharing more about these another time.

Whether you are looking for a place to bring the family for a new adventure or just to relax I would highly recommend visiting Chattanooga. You will not be disappointed.
